Although I log onto deviantART... I realized the other night I do NOTHING on here. Really... nothing. No fractals, no poetry, NOTHING. Thank you college + full time job + exhaustion + domestic life (though I don't cook supper very often for me and Tyler). Nevertheless, I miss you creativity. You have eluded me for the past year. Come BACK.

I am working on a few things. I'm working on a necklace right now, sewn from tiny beads with an Indian elephant charm in the middle. I spoke with an Indian woman (she is the wife of the doctor I work for) and she advised me on what colors to use as I'm completely clueless to contrasting and matching colors. Her advice: find a website with Indian sarees and then you'll see the color combination. It worked. So hopefully I'll actually finish a necklace.

I'm waiting for the satellite guy to get here to install some satellite television. I did the whole live with no television thing for a long time because Tyler and I wanted to focus our time on each other and our different hobbies... we finally want television now So I'm going to need this guy to get here... I'm also going to need some food soon.

Also, I've been making a few changes to my life, very quiet changes though the people who are affected by them notice them abruptly and completely. Mainly, just who I hang out with and such. It took a while to realize I really don't like shallow folks who try to portray this persona of depth, culture, and intelligence when it's simply a passing fad for them because it's cool right now to be a hippie. Old navy skirts, shirts, and peace sign jewelry don't make you a hippie. Because you read Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath, and Emily Dickinson doesn't make you a poet or cultured. And because you read biographies on Malcolm X doesn't make you a revolutionist for change. *shaking head* And because you insult anyone who passes you by who has teeth problems or hair problems or face problems or weight problems doesn't make you prettier... (even though I have been guilty of this, it is still time for a change). I don't proclaim to be any of these things and anyone who is less cultured than I am I do not insult. There is ALWAYS another book to read, another poem to dissect, another painting to view, and another life to learn about.

I guess I've just had that on my brain lately and needed to get it out. I'm going to go back to working on my necklace.
